Welcome to Homefinder

Homefinder allows you to view and apply for properties by participating landlords in the private rented sector in the South Kesteven district.
You are able to apply for properties on the Homefinder Scheme if:
• you have completed a Council’s Housing Needs Enquiry form
and,
• you have had case discussion with a Housing Options Advisor and both you and the advisor agree that private rented housing is an appropriate housing option for you.
How to Look for Properties
Click on “browse properties” to view current availability. Details include:
• a photograph;
• the address;
• property information;
• any restrictions/qualifying criteria;
• Weekly/monthly rent and service charges if applicable.
How to apply
If you are interested in any of the properties, click on the apply button under the property details. Please have you Housing Needs Enquiry reference number ready because you need this reference number in order to apply for the property.
Clicking on the apply button does not guarantee you getting the property you apply for.
In order to ensure the property is suitable for you and you are able to sustain the tenancy in the long run, you need to bear in mind the following:
• Property size must be suitable for your household size;
• Pre-Tenancy Determinations (PTD) must be completed for properties if you will be claiming Housing Benefit;
• Strict affordability checks will be carried out with reasonable utility bill forecasts.
